We had a dream 2011 , Neon , Dimension 120x24 cm

We Had a Dream "... We find this hard look at society in the project" We Had a Dream "This is a work that consists, in its original form, a sentence in the past tense, but that speaks to the future. L the artist uses "We" to speak of his generation, who continues to act to expand the space of freedom of speech, to find social justice. It is a work-action, since it appears almost in a political context where political space is coincident with the economic issues beyond organizations, tribes and nations. Inspired by the historic phrase of Martin Luther King's "I Had a Dream," Mustapha Akrim included this message in a historical time. calling the memory of a struggle for freedom and equality, the artist brings a vocabulary more direct in his artistic language.
